Links to external relay setting data source are stored with OneLiner relays and consist of the following linkage data attributes:
1. The link key(s) to data in the external setting data source. Different data source types require different keys:
- The link key to manufacturer setting file is the full file name. For some setting file formats that allows multiple sets of settings in a single file, for example SEL RDB setting files, the setting set name is required as the second key.
Note: OneLiner is designed to look for linked setting files only in the default setting file folder. You can set or change this folder location in the Relay tab of the File | Preferences dialog box.
- The link key to ASPEN relay database can be set up in two ways: 1) Use the ID of the linked setting request; or 2) Use the ID of the linked relay plus name of the stored setting query that OneLiner must execute to locate the desired setting request.
- The key to ENOSERV PowerBase are the internal record ID of the device and the setting data.
Additional linkage keys details are found in the section 10.14 RELAY DATABASE CONNECTOR
2. The name of the data mapping script(s), which OneLiner must invoke to transform external setting data into OneLiner relay model parameters. These scripts are stored in the OneLiner Relay Data Interchange Logic Library (RDBI). For relay data links to ASPEN RDB, the mapping scripts can also be stored in the RDB.
It is also possible to link a single OneLiner relay to multiple relays in the ASPEN Relay Database or ENOSERV PowerBase. This one-to-many linkage is required, for example, in a multi-zone KD phase distance relay. A 3-zone OneLiner distance relay of type KD will need to be linked to three different KD relays in the database, one for each zone, plus a record for the zone 2 and zone 3 timer unit.
You can select to store linkage data with OneLiner relays when they are imported from external setting data source. Links to ASPEN RDB can also be added to any existing relay in OneLiner network if desired.
1. To store linkage data with new relay that you are importing from an external data source: mark the check box “Link imported OneLiner relay(s) to this data record” or “Link imported OneLiner relay(s) to this setting file” in the relay import wizard Setting Summary page (See figure G2). OneLiner will automatically store linkage details with the imported relay. Details of the Import Relay Wizard are found in help section for the RELAY GROUP xe "Properties:relay group"PROPERTIES COMMAND.

2. To add ASPEN RDB links to existing relay: use the button controls in the OneLiner relay properties dialog box (shown in the picture below within the group box immediately under the Memo edit box) to create, edit or remove links to the ASPEN relay database. Details of these steps are found in section 5.2 OVERCURRENT GROUND RELAYS.
