ASPEN was founded in 1986 with a commitment to technical excellence, knowledgeable support and training, and continued software improvement in response to user input. Our customers include hundreds of electric utilities, consulting companies, government organizations and large industrial complexes all over the world. ASPEN is well known for its pioneering work in sparse-vector computational methods and graphical user-machine interface for power system applications. Everyone on the technical staff has had practical experience in electric utility companies. ASPEN is located in San Mateo, California, in close proximity to Stanford University and to the heavy concentration of high-tech companies in the Silicon Valley.
